Robin Moses Inspired Collection by
MDJCreations

Let's talk about the fabulous collection that Melissa has created in collaboration with Robin Moses!

This collection, which is inspired by one of Melissa's favorite nail guru, consists of 7 nail polishes.

They are each gorgeous!

We have:
              -Robin, Hail to the NAW
              -Nameless Client
              -Evil Client
              -Guru
              -Compassionista
              -Mammie
              -Juicy Client

"Robin, Hail to the NAW" is dedicated to Robin and the other six colors were picked and named by Robin in honor of  the clients that she features on her YouTube channel. Each color carries a rich intense pigment, and a load of holo and glitter. Because of all the gorgeous glitters in it, they do dry textured... so be sure to add a nice glossy top coat to smooth it out.

The collection will be available on Friday, January 27th at 5pm CST.

Robin, Hail to the NAW: is shown in two coats. Application went on great and if you use a thick coat, you can get away with one coat.

Nameless Client is shown in two coats. Great application and can also be used as a one coater, just make that one coat a bit thick.

Evil Client (one of my faves) is shown in two coats. Smooth formula and application. Same as the others, can be used in one or two coats.

Guru, shown in two coats is the only one that you must use in two coats. Its a bit sheer on the first one, which also means that it can be paired with different color bases! Great formula and application.

Compassionista is a beautiful blue. Shown in two coats with great formula and easy application.

Juicy Client is such a pretty baby blue. This one was almost sheer on the first coat but it builds up nicely on the second coat. Great formula!

Born Pretty Holo Laser Powder-Silver

Press Sample

Hello again!

Do you love a holo look? I know I do!

Today I swatched one of Born Pretty's holographic powder. This is the second one that I swatch from them but the first to put on my blog.

So I picked a silver powder. It is item number 33368 in #1.

Born Pretty Store Holographic Laser Powder item #33368 (#1)

I gotta tell you that for the price and the wait (it comes from overseas so you have to wait a bit longer to get) it is so worth it. Right now, it is on sale for $1.99 compared to other competitors. The price is awesome. It does require you to use a gel base (unless you find a way around that) in order for the powder to adhere. It's very holo, and thats just indoors. It went on easy and it did not smear/smudge after putting on top coat, also gel.

I started off with a black gel base. I cured it but did not remove the sticky layer on the base. The sticky layer is what helps the powder adhere to my color. The powder does come with a small makeup sponge in which I dipped to grab some of that holo goodness and then just started rubbing it on my nail. It doesn't take a lot of effort to get it onto the nail.

The first time that I used this powder, I was kind of scared that I would mess it up somehow. But I was so surprised to see how easy this was. It is kind of messy, so I did apply a latex barrier, Sexy Cuticles liquid nail tape by MDJ Creations (I will add the link at the bottom). Once my latex was dry then I started applying the powder.

All in all, I love Born Pretty's holographic powder. They are priced great and they have a big selection of powder types and colors. By this time you must have seen my IG video tutorial for this powder. But, if you haven't, I am giving away one of these! Why? Well, a little back story... So, Born Pretty had asked me if I was interested in reviewing some items, I said yes of course and I made my pick. I picked this powder without realizing that I already had one on the way from them.. oops! my bad! but your win... could be! So, I am sure I have posted the giveaway info by now. And because you were so kind to stop by my blog and read all this, you are entitled to an extra entry! But shhh... Don't tell anyone one else! If someone stops by my blog they will see that they can also get an additional entry. If they don't, well, that's a higher chance you get at winning. ;-) Just read the instructions on my giveaway post and do the same thing twice! See IG post for giveaway instructions.

Thank you for stopping by and see you on instagram! Don't forget to follow my IG page!

Born Pretty Mat and Stamper

Press Sample

Hi ladies!

I have a couple of products from Born Pretty Store that I received to review! But lets start with 2 items that I have been anticipating. We have their silicone mat, which is about 6x8 inches (Born Pretty Store also sells other different size silicone mats), and their metal clear stamper.

Born Pretty Store silicone mat item #34555

Born Pretty Store metal clear stamper item #37901

Silicone Mat, item #34555 is on sale for $5.99, regular price is $10.99.
Metal clear stamper, item #37901 is on sale for @2.99, regular price is $4.70.

Lets talk about the mat! I love the size of it. It is not too big so it does not take up a lot of space. I have a small nail area so this works perfect for my table. It does come in a tube to keep it protected. Once you open it, it is wrapped in plastic, so you will have to remove it from the plastic before use.
The mat is silicone, therefore the bottom part of the mat feels like a squishy stamper. Like if you rum your fingers through a squishy stamper… like that. So that means that it will stay in place and not move around your table. But the top of the mat is nice and smooth.

You have your nail boxes on the sides of the mat for you to do swatches, nail decals, or you can also use them as palettes for when you’re doing detailing.

I used pure acetone to clean it up and there was no damage at all. One of my favorite things about it is that I am able to peel my decals with ease as compared to how I used to do them… (I used a plastic bag to make my decals and it was so much harder to peel them off of it).

Now, lets talk about the metal clear stamper. It is a short one, so there is not a lot to grab from. But, I think it is perfect because I don’t have to roll the stamper over the design on the plate. I just press it down and it picks up! With all my other stampers, I have to roll over the design, sometimes not picking up all of the design. SO as some of you know, it can be a little frustrating. But I think those days are over for me with this new stamper! Forgot to mention, it does come with a top to protect the stamper. To keep your stamper from getting ruined, I highly suggest to use a lint roller to clean it with instead of using acetone.

So, what do I think of these two products? I am loving it. If you have any questions about these two items, please ask and I will do my best to answer your questions.

I made a video of these two items, if you would like to check it out, please follow the link to my Instagram account:
