A Sincerely Fairytale Finish Collaboration: Bewitching Hour

Press Sample

Today I want to talk about two great ladies with indie nail polish line.

Karen, from Sincerely Polish, and Amanda, from Fairytale Finish.

They both created an awesome collaboration for a Halloween themed nail polish!
They were inspired by the famous movie Hocus Pocus and the collection name is Bewitching Hour. If you haven't watched it, go!

They each created two polishes and combined them to make one collection.

I'm going to start with one of Amanda's creation (Fairytale Finish):

"I Smell Children" is a lovely shade of orange with gold flakes and black skulls in it. This polish glows in the dark, after you have charged it, and it is also scented! No, it does not smell like children... well, maybe sticky children who ate a whole bunch of candy corn.. Yup, it smells like candy corn. I love that smell, but to be honest with you... I've never had a candy corn.. LOL.. Maybe I'll try one after smelling this polish. So, the best part about it being scented is that you can wear a top coat and still smell it. NOTE: It only smells when it's completely dry. Also, this polish comes with a baggie with extra skulls for some placement. The formula is great. It goes on smoothly and because the skulls are big, they are also heavy, so they sink. But, no worries because that's what the extra skulls are for, to do some placement. I shook my bottle and left it upside down while I prepped my nails so that I wouldn't do a lot of fishing. I used two coats and I also did two coats of top coat. I had no issues with this polish.

Next from the collection is one of Karen's creation (Sincerely Polish):

"Put A Spell On You" is a pretty black with holographic moons, gold shimmer and blue iridescent glitter. This polish also glows in the dark after being charged with light. Now, because there's a lot of different sizes glitters mixed in, you have to be careful when applying it. I had no issues, but if you're in a rush then you're not going to get that smooth look. I did two thick coats and two coats of top coat for extra smoothness. There is something about this polish that catches your eyes... could be the gold shimmer or the moons.. who know! I didn't have to do any fishing for the moons. There are just plenty in the bottle for them to stick to the brush, I do recommend shaking your bottle and leaving it upside down while you prep your nails. This goes for any glitter polish.

Third, from Fairytale Finish is called "Wicked Enchantress". It's a green with violet/gold and green/gold flakies. It also has purple holo stars! This polish is so pretty and Amanda did and excellent job. The formula for this polish is great. I love the combination of these colors together, I used three thin coats and one coat of top coat. Now, it doesn't glow or is scented, but it sure makes your finger nails look pretty!

Last from the collection is "Evil Seductress". A gorgeous purple jelly with holo glitter in different sizes and shapes. It's so sparkly! The combination of the glitters is so pretty. Formula was great and I had no issues applying this polish, even with the glitter. I did two coats with one coat of top coat. I love the coverage you get with this polish. You can add a third one to make it even more sparkly.

This collection will be available for pre-sale on 10/10 so be sure to follow these ladies for more swatches and info.

Overall, I love this collection. Both Karen and Amanda did an excellent job at capturing the colors and staying with the theme of Hocus Pocus. I will link their information, both from their store and IG so that you can check them out. ;-)

Thank you for reading this long post... lol.. you're the best!
