Funky Fingers!!

So I came across 4 pretty polishes on a run to Five Below. For those of you that don't know, Five Below is a cool store that sells a lot of cool things that cost $5.00 and under! They have from cosmetics, to cell phone cases and more. From what I have heard, there are not that many locations spread out through the states. I know there's a lot in Virginia, since that's where I first came across one. Now I'm in PA and I'm glad I'm able to find them here because they have cool polishes for great prices!

These polishes are called Funky Fingers! They usually sell them for 3 for $5.00. I think that's a great deal! They also sell a brand called Fresh Paint for the same price.

If you're lucky like me, you'll find Funky Fingers for $1.00!! each that is! I bought 5! They only had 4 colors, but I ended up getting an extra for my sister. I'm only reviewing 3 because i added one to my previous giveaway.

Funky Finger Nail Polish
The 4th one was of the same kind but in a light blue. I have to say, these remind me of indie nail polish. There's another polish I have of Funky Fingers that also reminds me of indies... Makes me think... are these store brands trying to copy indies?? lol

Any way, the names for these are (from left to right) Berried Treasure, Mint Choco-Chip and Fro Yo!. I love the name of the purple one! lol.

Funky Finger Nail Polish
So, I like the formula of these polishes. I would of loved it if it were just a tad bit thicker. Just a little hint. I love the fact that you don't have to pull out your fishing rod on these! No fishing! I would recommend putting them upside down while you prep your nails though. There are bigger glitter in there that like to sink just a little bit, but I didn't have so much problem with it because I had it upside down for a bit. I would say give it 5 minutes at least. It brings small and large black hex glitter, a semi clear and white hex glitter. The base is a milky color so it's perfect!

I started off with the pink one, Berried Treasure. I have to say, this is my favorite from these 3. I did two coats and I was happy with how it looked! Like I said, no fishing needed for this one. I will have to say that you might do some fishing if your glitter sinks... so if that's the case, give it a good shake from all sides and then leave it upside down for a bit. I love this color pink. It is not bright or too pale. Its just perfect. And I love how it looks with my skin tone.

Up next we have Mint Choco-Chip. This was the least favorite from the 3. The color is pretty, I give it that. I had to use 3 coats on this one because the brush was a little crappy so it was streaking the polish. So to make it all smooth and pretty, 3 coats had to be used.... Same formula as Berried Treasure which is good. I guess there's not much more to say about this one, only that if you find it, open the bottle and make sure the brush looks good... LOL

My second favorite, Fro Yo!. I not only love the color, but how cool is that name!? Makes me want to say it aloud! LOL... I love this pale purple color. I used 2 coats and I love how it looks! Purple is one of my top 3 favorite colors so this is perfect! The brush on this one was great so I didn't have any problems applying this polish. it was smooth and no fishing.

Over all, I love these polishes. I love the combination of black and white with these milky colored polishes. They don't sparkle but that's alright with me. When I bought these they were on sale and they looked funky... The polish had separated, but I gave it a rough shake and it looks good now.

Sharpie Neon Design

So the other day I bought these really cool neon sharpies! I don't really use sharpies that much, but I thought these were cool for some nail art! I got these at K-Mart.

They come in a pack of 4 which brings neon green, pink, orange and yellow. The colors are great! They are also fine point markers so that's a plus!

Now, I decided to create a design on my nails. The ideas were endless which made it more difficult for me to choose one... So I came up with this:

I love how the colors pop with the white. I've prepared a little tutorial on how to do these so here it is:

You will need a white base, or maybe even black. I used Snow Me White by Sinful Colors Professional. I applied two coats and sealed it with my HK Girl top coat by Glisten And Glow.

After your top coat is dry, start creating the designs. You can start with any color you like. I started with the neon yellow, followed by the pink, green and finally orange.

After I was done with my designs, which I decided to do on my ring, middle and pointer fingers, I added tiny dots on my pinky and thumb using all colors.

Now, once you're done doing designs on your nails, the next logical step would be to seal it with your favorite top coat. But, since we are using sharpies, using a top coat will melt the color and it will make it look faded. Trust me, I tried! Lol

Here's a picture to show you the difference between top coat vs no top coat. Wonder if you can tell which one is which!
See?

Now time for a video tutorial!

I hope you guys like this look. I'm not in love with it, but it still looks cool under the black light! Maybe I'll try doing a different design sometime. :-)

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget I have a giveaway going on which ends tomorrow Saturday 24th at 5pm EST.

Shellflower by Sincerely Polish
This is a gorgeous minty green filled with micro hexes in shifting rainbow! I just love how classy this color is.

Sorry the picture looks a bit dark, I tried going outside to get a sun shot but it's a cloudy day... :-(

This is 1 of the 5 polishes from the Garden of Eden collection. All the colors from this collection are soft and gorgeous! You can't go wrong with this collection.

Full Collection of garden of Eden
I am in love with the colors Karen came up with for this collection. She always goes above and beyond when creating a new collection. I am hooked! I always go back to her shop to look at all the pretties she has, even if I already own them, I love looking at the other ladies' swatches! (Link to her shop is here)

So, I did this mani yesterday but didn't take pictures because I had lost the daylight. So I was excited to wake up and snap some pictures of this prettyful polish!

Had to add a little prop! I love how the flower makes the color pop!!

See how you can see the micro hexes??! Again, no sun to show them more but you get the idea!

I always love to include bottle shots! I don't know why... LOL. Maybe because the bottle completes the look!

Swatches. Proper Polish & Sincerely Polish!

Well, it's only Wednesday (it's 12am! Lol) and I've already done a few swatches!

A couple of polishes from Sincerely Polish and one from Proper Polish Lacquer! Two lovely ladies!

Let me start off with Juicy Fruit!

Juicy Fruit By Proper polish

This is a coral-y crelly neon with shimmery glitter, big hex glitter and micro glitter! I was surprised at how much I loved this color with my skin tone. At first, I wasn't sure it would look good next to my skin color, but it's perfect!
This pretty I won on a giveaway that Michelle (Proper_Polish) hosted, along with another gorgeous glow in the dark polish!
To achieve this look, I used two thin coats. The formula of this polish is perfect! I love how easy it was to apply. I did do some fishing for the big hex glitter. But that is to be expected because it's big and bigger glitter tend to sink. But I'm ok with that!

Next up is Silv from Sincerely Polish's Magical Pixie Hollow Fairies Collection!

I loveee this one!! This is a glitter bomb of gorgeousness! It's a jelly base in blue filled with micro and holo glitter. I loved the formula. Very easy to apply and zero fishing!

To achieve this look, I used two coats! No undie needed! It can be used as a topper with one coat, but I prefer a full on glitter effect! One of my favorite from the Magical Pixie Hollow Fairies Collection!

Next from Sincerely Polish is Ohana from the Ohana Love Collection!

This is a beautiful polish! It's a creamy white crelly filled with hearts and circles!! I love the color combination! You get blue, pink, purple and silver hearts, as well as blue, pink and purple circles!
I achieved this look with just 3 coats. I did have to do a little fishing to get all the hearts I wanted on my nails, but not a lot of fishing is required. I guess it depends on how many hearts you want on your nail.. :-)

Overall, I recommend these polishes! They have great formulas and the colors are just plain gorgeous! All easy to apply and the end results are great!

Magical Pixie Hollow Fairies Collection by Sincerely Polish

Hello ladies!

Are you a fan of fairies? Whether you're a big kid or whatever your age is, we all have that little girl in us that love Disney characters. I love pretty Disney, even at my nearly 30 age. Sometimes we wish we could dress up as fairies like a little girl and go out and show people our cute outfit, but at our age... I think it'll be a bit embarrassing. But! what if you can still wear fairy stuff and not be judged?! wouldn't you do it?

Well, now it's the time to wear those fairies colors on you! Karen, owner of Sincerely Polish has come up with an inspired Disney Fairy polishes called Magical Pixie Hollow Fairies Collection! Yup! Tinker Bell and her friends!

This picture, taken by Karen, shows the collection of 8 polishes!

The polishes are all glitter and some are jelly with glitter. I must say, these are not just glitter toppers... they are more!

I had the please of purchasing 4 out of the 8 to swatch and I love them! The glitter is very small so it actually looks like Pixie Dust! Also, they all applied quiet nicely and the formula is great! On my swatches, I used two coats and I got a nice coverage.

As you can see, here we have Peri, Rose, Vidia and Tinker.

There are ways that you can wear this. You can wear it by pairing it with an undie of a similar color or by itself. I would recommend using one coat of undie and one coat of the fairy polish. Or you can do what I did, two coats of the fairy polish and no undie (only on my ring finger). I personally love how it looks with just two coats, but if you want that complete opaque coverage, then you can get away with 3 coats.

Here are some macros for a better look at my 2 coats!:

Peri from the Magical Pixie Hollow Fairies Collection by Sincerely Polish

Rose from the Magical Pixie Hollow Fairies Collection by Sincerely Polish

Tinker from the Magical Pixie Hollow Fairies Collection by Sincerely Polish

Vidia from the Magical Pixie Hollow Fairies Collection by Sincerely Polish

So what do you "Tink" so far?? Aren't they gorgeous?! That's just 4 out of the 8, so imagine the other ones!

Now, these polishes will be releasing on May 11th, so stay tuned. Follow @SincerelyPolish on Instagram for more swatches and info, and check out her Storenvy page on the 11th to get your collection!

Another thing I must add is that once you paint your nails, if you don't do thick coats, the polish dries quick, so that is another plus! I was surprised when I touched the polish and it was dry! But, let me make a disclaimer: The drying process also depends on where you are doing your nails. If you're in a room where there is not a lot of air and it's dry, then the drying process will be longer. It all depends on where you are doing your nails and the thickness of your coats. =)

All in all, I love this collection. Karen always comes up with great polishes and I love all of her collections. She was my first indie and I am hooked! She is also the sweetest person! So, if you love polishes as much as I do, check her out, stop by her page and show her some love!

Now, let me show my complete swatch of this collection!
